🛠️ Key Manufacturing Processes and Materials

The manufacturing of modern exoskeletons is a highly complex, interdisciplinary process that sits at the intersection of robotics, biomechanics, and material science. It involves creating a system that is both immensely strong and precise, yet lightweight and ergonomically aligned with the human body.

The process is highly dependent on the type of exoskeleton: Powered (Active) or Passive (Mechanical), and its application (Medical, Industrial, or Military).

For Powered Exoskeletons, the most critical components are the power-to-weight ratio of the motors and the efficiency of the transmission.

Actuator Types: Brushless DC (BLDC) motors are the most common due to their high power density and light weight. Hydraulic or pneumatic actuators are sometimes used for extremely high-force applications
